Since January 1, 2022, for 7 derogations, this method is the only active electronic procedure. Referral by email is now excluded, operators can only refer electronically to INAO by means of this teleservice.

The procedure concerns applications for the following derogations:

  • Cattle hitching (Point 1.7.5 of Annex II part II of R(EU) 2018/848)
  • Parallel production in the case of perennial crops (Article 9.8 of R(EU) 2018/848)
  • High land animal mortality (Article 3.2 of R(EU) 2020/2146 - First paragraph)
  • Purchase of conventional feed in the event of loss of feed production or restrictions imposed (Article 3.3 of R(EU) 2020/2146)
  • Reduction of conversion period (Article 10.3 of R(EU) 2018/848)
  • Operation for reasons of worker safety or to improve animal health, welfare or hygiene (Point 1.7.8 of Annex II part II of R(EU) 2018/848)
  • Authorization of non-organic agricultural ingredients in processed organic food (Article 25 of R(EU) 2018/848)

The procedures for using the DérogBio platform are detailed in a dedicated guide available on the INAO website.

However, paper submission remains open for these 7 derogations.

Exceptionally, if you are unable to use the online submission tool because you do not yet have a SIRET number, you can then email the downloaded derogation request form to your certification body.
